We’re three best friends who started Generally Wandering as a simple idea: one trip a year, somewhere new, just to reconnect, recharge, and remind ourselves how good it feels to say yes to adventure.
Between careers, kids, and calendars that never quite align, it wasn’t easy. But once we hit the road, everything changed. We laughed harder, saw the world differently, and remembered how much joy there is in stepping away from routine, even for a little while.
What began as a yearly escape turned into something bigger: a way to capture the stories, friendships, and wild moments that happen when you leave your comfort zone (and your inbox) behind.
Now, Generally Wandering is our shared project. A creative collaboration that blends travel, storytelling, and friendship. We plan, photograph, and document our adventures to inspire others to wander differently — intentionally, joyfully, and with good company.

We believe every woman deserves to experience the world with her friends.
Travel doesn’t have to be solo, romantic, or reserved for a “someday.” It can be messy, spontaneous, and filled with laughter, just like life. Through our journeys, we want to show that adventure isn’t about having it all together; it’s about showing up, saying yes, and making memories that outlast the jet lag.
Each trip we share, from European road trips to mountain escapes, is about connection.
Connection with the places we visit. Connection with the people we meet, and most importantly, connection with each other.

How we travel.
We fly between countries when we need to, but once we land, everything changes. We rent a car, load it up, and hit the road. The road trip is always the best part.
Emma is behind the wheel, Casey is on DJ duty, and Skye is usually juggling clients in the back seat while putting up with loud music and passionate, often out-of-tune, singing. Somehow, Skye is available 24/7 and still fully part of the chaos. It is a system that works perfectly for us.
We almost always make a wrong turn. We regularly end up on dead-end roads. Emma yells for everyone to “think skinny” while squeezing down tight European streets, and we laugh until we cry. When we are not on a tight schedule, we pick a direction and see where it takes us. No rushing, no strict plan, just curiosity and a full tank of fuel. And, honestly, that is the point.
More often than not, our favourite places are the ones we never meant to find. The small towns, quiet back roads, and unexpected stops that were never part of the plan are usually the ones that stay with us the longest.
